Lollitint by Benefit

Benefit released a new candy-orchid lip/cheek tint a few months back, and despite having it shortly after launch I am only now finding time to write about it. Oops... Better late than never I guess.

Now when it comes to the tints from Benefit (my first was the classic Benetint) I have tried all of them... I have even tried every variation of highlighter. (High Beam, Moon Beam, Sun Beam) but when it comes to tints I'm definitely more of a fan of these newer creamier style ones as opposed to the original Benetint as they are much easier to blend.

The packaging is the same style as all the others - looking deceivingly like a nail polish. The product itself as with all Benefit tints has excellent staying power and for anyone wanting a quick flush of colour they are perfect. I also use them underneath a blusher for a night out to make sure my cheeks always stay nice and flushed with colour.

The colour of lollitint is easy to wear all year round and perfect for all skin tones. You will see from the swatch that it has a purple undertone.
It can be applied to both cheeks and lips and only a small amount is needed.
At £24.50 it may appear a little pricey but you only need a small amount.

I prefer the shading of this tint over Benefits Posie Tint but Cha Cha tint is still my favourite. Especially when I have a tan.

This colour does make for the perfect stank under a clear gloss if you're scared of too much colour.

Have you tried any Benefit tints? Which one is your favourite?

Rock those ORANGE lips. Yes! Orange!

It seems that orange lipstick is bang on trend this summer.. And not being one to miss out on a beauty trend I thought I would tell you about this one.

Now usually when I new trend pops up I pop to the shops and spend on core pieces. But in this instance it just so happens that while on holiday in Barcelona last year I picked up an orange lipstick and lip liner from a little beauty store called Yamamay, which is an Italian based company.

(the lipstick is 02 light orange and the lip liner is in shade 08)

Obviously not everyone is going to be bold enough to go straight for bright orange as a colour pop but there are plenty of gloss options out there or you can go for a more subtle coral to avoid the shock of orange.

There are some product recommendations from Elle on this link http://m.elleuk.com/beauty/beauty-notes-daily/how-to-get-the-orange-lip-trend-right

I too have opted for a matte lip rather than a glossy one but any option will compliment the sun perfectly.

If you aren't one for lipgloss because of the texture but don't want to opt for a lipstick I recommend Clinique's Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange.
You will find a previous blog post on the Chubby Stick right here on my blog :)

So what are you waiting for? Get rocking those Orange lips!

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara

Not that I wish to bombard you with mascara posts, but this is probably the product within my make up bag that I chop and change with most often. Obviously I have my favourites but I am always intrigued to try the latest ones and usually Maybelline never fail to dissapoint.

This mascara is slightly different as it is double ended.
It has one larger "push up" brush for your upper lashes and one smaller brush for your lower lashes. Great concept!

You get great coverage from this mascara and the push up brush does a great job of giving curl to your upper lashes. In all honesty I have found that I don't use the smaller brush very often but it is great for the smaller lashes on the inner corner of your upper lash line. However for people with smaller lower lashes I can see the benefit of the smaller brush.

I am actually very fond of this mascara and at £8.99 it's a steal!

Thumbs up from me 👍
